In 1936 Frederick T. Bartlett married F. Regina O'Neill. Prior to their marriage, he resided in Shrewsbury and Regina's family home was in Worcester, although she was a teacher in Voluntown, CT. Following their marriage they made their home in the Greendale section of Worcester (Airlie St.). They had a son in February 1937 and in 1939 they purchased and moved to a 3 decker house on Lancaster St., just 2 blocks from the northern end of Main Street in Worcester, where they continued to reside until their deaths in 1978. Regina died on May 16th and Fred died on August 28th of that same year.
Since his mother, Lily L. Eaton died when he was only 3 and his father, Edward A. Bartlett died when he was just 16, Fred was acutally brought up in Shrewsbury both, by his father and also his older sister, Gladys and her husband, Maurice Crooker with whom he resided at the time of the 1930 census. During his early adult life, Fred worked as a carpenter (for approximately 16 years he worked for H.J. Stone Contractors.), but during WW II, he went to work for Heald Machine Co. for one year, followed by a multi-year career at Rockwood Sprinkler Co. until his retirement near the end of the 1960s.
