Fecteau, 62, of Biddeford, died Friday, Aug. 21, 2009 at Southern Maine Medical Center after a long illness. He was born in Biddeford on April 5, 1947, the son of Lionel and Anita Proulx Fecteau. He was educated in Biddeford schools and graduated from Biddeford High School in the class of 1965. During the Vietnam War, he served with the U.S. Coast Guard. For several years he worked at Landry's Dairy in Dayton, Cadorette's Hardware in Biddeford and Boston Mutual Insurance Company in Scarborough. In 1982 he retired after ten years with Frito Lay Co., due to ill health. On April 11, 1986 he married Helen R. Simoneau in Saco. He was a member of the Biddeford American Legion Post #26 & St. Andre's Church. He enjoyed golf, bowling, fishing and professional sports. He was predeceased by a sister Jeannine Roy in 1990. Surviving are his wife of 23 years of Biddeford; one daughter, Carrie Fecteau of Biddeford; one brother, Guy Fecteau and his wife Joan of Saco; one sister, Joanne Souliere and her husband Norman of Biddeford and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Andre's Church of the Good Shepherd Parish in Biddeford. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford. Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel, Biddeford. -- MERGED NOTE ------------
