  Notes	Only the name of Barthelemi Joseph is given in his baptism record. His name is spelled Batetina in the 1881 census. According to the 1900 census, Charles Fecteau, age 24 (b. Nov 1875), and his wife Diana, age 19 (b. Apr 1881) -- both born in Canada -- were living in Somersworth, Strafford, New Hampshire. They were just married and have no children. Charles is listed as son-in-law and Diana is listed as "daughter" -- living in the household of Thomas Roy, age 38, and his wife Georgiana, age 36, -- who have been married for 16 years. The 1900 census places Charles Fecteau with Diana Roy. The marriages of St. Martin, Somersworth, NH have their marriage in 1900. But it also has listings for Bartholomie Fecteau and Diana Roy as the parents of other Fecteau children who were married after 1925. I have therefore, concluded that Charles and Bartholomie are the same person. Since Bartholemie's father is named Charles, it would be natural for him to be named Charles, but use Bartholemie as a given name to distinguish himself from his father. According to the 1910 census, Charles Fecteau (Fectean on the electronic index), age 36, and his wife Jennie, age 31, were renting their home at 77 Depot Street in Somersworth, NH. They had been married for 17 (sic) years; five of their nine children were still living and were listed: Mary 10, Alvina 9, Fred 5, Annie 1, and Emma 5 months. All the children were born in NH. Charles and his parents were born in QC. I have concluded that Jennie and Diana are the same persons - but I could be mistaken. Also in 1910 and living in Somersworth, were Victorine, age 39; and Mary, age 26, and Ernine, age 20. According to the 1920 census, the widower Bathelemie, age 42, was living with his father at 76 Depot Street in Somersworth, NH.
