The Rev. William R. Hampton performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. George Shimko and the late Mrs. [sic] Shimko. The bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Bernard H. Facteau of Lyon Mountain. . Maid of honor was Mrs. Thomas Adams, half-sister of the bride, of Colonie. Thomas V. Adams, brother-in-law of the bride, was best man. The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Paul W. Shimko. After the ceremony, a reception took place at Veeder's Restaurant in Colonie. The bride attended the Academy of Holy Names in Albany. The bridegroom attended Lyon Mountain High School. He is a taxi driver, employed by Capital City Taxi Company. Following a wedding trip to New York City and Canada, the couple will reside in Albany.
