      EDWARD C. FECTEAU, 73, of 6 Drawbridge Lane, South Attleboro, a machinist at the former G.M. Industries, Seekonk, for 10 years, retiring in 1986, died yesterday at Madonna Manor, North Attleboro. He was the husband of Violet (Maheu) Fecteau.
      Born in Winslow, Maine, a son of the late Conrad and Roseanna (Frechette) Fecteau, he lived in South Attleboro for 10 years, previously living in Central Falls for many years.
      Mr. Fecteau had worked at the former Enterprise Mfg. Co., Pawtucket, for 25 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Franco American Veterans Post 14, Central Falls. He was a communicant of St. Theresa Church, South Attleboro.
      Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Conrad G. Fecteau of West Warwick; a daughter, Rachael Brassard of South Attleboro; a brother, Lucien J. Fecteau of Seekonk; and three grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Ursula Doyon.
      The funeral will be held Saturday at 8 a.m. from the Darlington Mortuary of L. Heroux & Son, 1042 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 in St. Teresa Church, Baltic Street. Burial with military honors will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
