She was 73. Mrs. Gerke was born in Morrisonville Aug 2, 1893, the daughter of the late Napeon and Julia (Trembley) Lavigne. She vvas the widow of the late Frederick Gerke. Mrs. Gerke is survived by one son, Clement Gerke of Plattsburgh; eight daughters, Mrs. Adolphus Busch, Mrs. Sylvia Procter and Mrs. Wilbur Purick. all of Plattsburgh, Mrs Werner Grose of Troy, Mrs Bernice Wiley of Lockport, Mrs. Robert Gosse and Mrs. Robert Hyslip, both of Boston, Mass., and Mrs. Michael Doorey of Peru; one sister, Mrs. Alice Facteau. of Plattsburgh; 32 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. The body is at the Brown Funeral Home, where calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. Funeral Mass will be Thursday morning at 9 from St. John's Church. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
