    • The name of this son is very difficult to read on the microfilm for the census. It appears to be a 4 or 5 letter name, starting with F or T or L. It could be Louis or Fay. (There is a name below it, where the upper curve of the capital scripted L is positioned directly below the last letter of this boy's name, which makes the last letter look like a "y" - but I believe the last letter is not a "y")

      The name of Fay is clearly stated in the 1930 census when he was 12 years old.

      obituary:

      TROY -- Fay B. Facteau, 78, of Willis Street died Saturday in the Samaritan Hospital.
      Mr. Facteau was born and educated in Saranac, Clinton County.
      He was employed as a crane operator at the former Republic Steel in Troy for 28 years before retiring in 1968. He was later employed by Hammermill Paper Co. (John A. Manning) for 11 years as a machine operator before retiring in 1980.
      Mr. Facteau was a World War II Army veteran and a Navy veteran of the Korean War.
      He was a communicant of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Troy and a member of its Men's Club.
      He was the widower of Katherine Wylie Facteau.
      Survivors include a son, James B. Facteau of Mineral Wells, Texas; two daughters, Barbara C. Lapinski of Clifton Park and Cathleen A. Castle of Wynantskill; two brothers, Richard Facteau of Corinth and Vernon Facteau of Troy; a sister, Hilda Marcotte of Corinth; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
      Services will be held at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday in the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home Inc., corner of 115th Street and Fourth Avenue, and 9:30 a.m. in St. Michael the Archangel Church.
      Burial will be in Elmwood Hill Cemetery in Troy.
      Calling hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
      Contributions may be made to the St. Peter's Hospice, Rensselaer County Unit, 8 North Lake Ave., Troy, NY 12180 or to the American Lung Association of New York State, 8 Mountain View Ave., Albany, NY 12205 in her memory
