obituary - Morning Sentinal (Waterville, ME) - 3 Jun 2006
BINGHAM -- Florida Fecteau, 88, died Wednesday, May 31, 2006, in Lebanon, Tenn., where she had resided for her last few months, surrounded by loving family members. These precious moments spent by her side will be cherished forever. "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." Revelation 21:4
She was born May 31, 1918, in Ripley, the daughter of Pete and Louise (Dugas) Vicneire.
Florida had been a long time resident of Bingham. While in Tennessee, Florida attended Immanuel Baptist Church and the adult Sunday school class. She was the senior member of fifth generation families.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Emile Fecteau Jr.; a grandson, David Tatakis; and her infant son.
She is survived by two daughters, Frances Tatakis of Bingham and Gloria Thibeault of Lebanon, Tenn.; her grandchildren, Annette Allen, Robin Swords, Tammy Wagner, John Tatakis, George Tatakis Jr., Tobias Thibeault, Virginia Calder, Elizabeth Newsom, Mathew Tatakis, Christopher Tatakis, and Nicole Leeman; several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 5, at the Bingham Village Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Tanner officiating. Arrangements are by Giberson Funeral Home, 18 River St., Bingham.
BINGHAM -- A surviving grandson Stephen Tatakis of Alaska was inadvertently omitted from the Florida Fecteau obituary.
