Facteau. 82, of 105 Sailly Ave., died at his .residence Wednesday following a short illness. He was born in Ellenburg Center Sept. 23, 1881, son of the late Louis and Emma (Bond) Facteau. He had lived in Plattsburgh for the past 50 years and was a carpenter by trade. Mr. Facteau is survived by his wife, the former Alice Lavigne; two sons, Herbert L. Facteau and Arthur C. Facteau, both of P i t t s burgh; five daughters, Mrs. Edgar R. Lamb, Mrs. Lawrence Crimi, Mrs. Robert Sapel and Mrs. Hazel Mallary, all of Plattsburgh and Mrs. David Vass of Long Island; 17 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. The body is at the Brown Funeral Home where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be announced later. funeral - Plattsburgh Press-Republican (NY) - 12 Aug 1963 Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Brown Funeral Home for Herbert S. Facteau, 82, of 105 Sailly Ave., who died Wednesday following a short illness. The Rev. John McCarthy of Trinity Episcopal Church officiated. Burial was at Riverside Cemetery. Bearers were Alvin and Joseph Busch, Clifton Patnode, Wilber Purick, John Fordham and Gary Hackett.
