MILTON - Lyle E. Rushlow, 77, passed away on Monday, Jan. 17, 2011 at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington following a lengthy illness. Lyle was born on Jan. 18, 1933 in Richford, the son of Lawrence and Louise (Pollender) Rushlow. He was a 1951 graduate of Richford High School and had resided in Richford for most of his life. While in school, Lyle was an active basketball and baseball player. In 1952, Lyle met and married Joyce Lumbra. From 1983-2000, Lyle lived in Burlington and from 2000 until the present, he has resided in Milton. He had worked at many occupations and retired from IBM in 1995. Lyle was passionate about and active in many sports including coaching Little League, boxing in Golden Gloves, bowling and watching the Celtics and Red Sox on TV. Lyle leaves his loving wife and devoted caregiver, Joyce of Milton; his sons, Kris of Milton, Kurt of Killeen, TX, Kent and his wife, Robin, of Franklin; his daughters, Pamela of Swanton, and Melody of Los Angeles, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a daughter-inlaw, Holly Rushlow of Richford.
In addition to his parents, Lyle was predeceased by a sister, Loretta Fecteau; and sons, Kevin, Kim, Kerry and Keith. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, Jan. 24, 2011 at 11 a.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Milton, with Rev. John G. Feltz officiating. Interment will take place in the spring in All Saints Cemetery in Richford. There are no calling hours planned.
