      Lucienne O. Daoust, 98, formerly of 96 Merrimac Street, died Thursday July 7, 2005 at St. Francis Health Care Center in Laconia. She was the daughter of the late Lucien N. and Alberine (Fortin) Paquette. She was born in Laconia on Dec. 24, 1906 and had been a life long resident. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Laconia, and a member of the Ladies of Sacred Heart since 1941.After her husband's retirement she worked part time at the former Barbery Knitting Mills in Lakeport. Her love for children was evident as she was a Foster Grandmother for 21 years at the Laconia State School, and a classroom aide at the Elm Street School retiring at age 83.She was predeceased by her husband Henry J. Daoust in 1982, and by a grandson, Edward W. Weeks in 1979. She was also predeceased by three brothers, Thomas, Bertrand, and Albert Paquette, and three sisters, Beatrice Fecteau, Madonne Dunn, and Violet Haberland.She is survived by two daughters, Madeleine A. Weeks, and her husband Benjamin of Gilford, and Claire L. Sorrell and her husband Robert of Pembroke; one son, Francis R. Daoust and his wife Ann of West Hartford, Conn.; one sister, Cecile L. Gilman of Laconia, and one brother Roger Paquette and his wife Barbara of Laconia. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday July 12, 2005 at Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Ave., Laconia at 11 a.m. The Rev. Adrien R. Longchamps, pastor of the church, will celebrate the mass. Burial will follow in the family lot at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street, Laconia. Visiting hours will be Monday evening July 11, 2005 from 7-9 p.m. at the Simoneau-Paquette Memorial, 139 Church St., Laconia. Family and friends are invited to attend. For those who wish the family suggests expressions of sympathy in Lucienne's name may be made to Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue, Laconia, NH 03246, or to the St. Francis Activity Fund, 406 Court St., Laconia, N.H. 03246.
