HAYSVILLE - Huddleston, Marvin Frank, 95, loving husband and grandfather passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2010. He was born in Carterville, MO on April 4, 1915. He called Baxter Springs his home and graduated in the class of 1935. In his early years, Marvin was a projector and theater manager in Galena, KS. He then went to work in the lead and zinc mines near Baxter Springs until they closed in 1951. Marvin moved his family to Wichita and was self-employed as an electrician and also worked for Classen Electric. He was employed by Cessna Aircraft for 16 years. Marvin served on the Haysville City Council for two years and 18 years as Mayor. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge. Marvin was preceded in death by his infant son, Fred; 2 brothers, Roy and Jess Huddleston. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Wilda (Fithian); sons, Dr. Frank (Fran) Huddleston of Memphis, TN, Michael (Karen) Huddleston of Augusta, KS; grandchildren, Tammy (Dennis) Lyle, Lori Woods, Mark (Amy) Huddleston, Alicia Leigh, Keli (Paul Fecteau) Huddleston; great-grandchildren, Corey (Chelsey), Meagan, Michael, Mason, Andrew, Elizabeth, Jake, Kayla (Chad), Chance, Andrew, Madison; great-great-grandchildren, Jenson and Logan. Memorial service 2 p.m., Saturday at Haysville Church of the Nazarene, 409 W. Grand with Rev. Steven Dezotell and Rev. Gordon Dorian officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Fall Festival Committee c/o City of Haysville, 200 W. Grand Haysville, KS 67060. Arrangements with Smith Mortuary, Haysville.
