  Notes	obituary - Ricker Funeral Home (Lebanon, NH) Rachel J. Boisvert, 95, died Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at her home in Lebanon. She was born in Laconia, NH on July 28, 1917 a daughter of Manuel and Marion (Fecteau) Silva and graduated from Stevens High School in Claremont, NH Class of 1935. After high school Rachel attended the Concord Business School and worked as a secretary for the Sullivan Company in Claremont. On August 9, 1937 she married Gerard “Jocko” Boisvert, who predeceased her in 1978. During her adult life she was a bookkeeper for Jocko’s Plumbing and Heating Company for twenty-nine years. In 1957 she was State President of the New Hampshire Plumbing and Heating C.C. Women’s Auxiliary. Rachel was also a supervisor of the check-list for Ward 2 in Lebanon for sixteen years, a member of Sacred Heart Church in Lebanon, the Catholic Daughters of America Court of St. Theresa and the American Legion Post 22 Auxiliary. Rachel volunteered for Sacred Heart’s Martha’s Ministry, the Red Cross Bloodmobile, Alice Peck Day Hospital, Retired Senior Volunteer Program, and the Upper Valley Senior Center where she was a committee member of the Advisory Council and Newsletter Committee. She was also very active with the Stevens High Alumni Association class of 1935. In her spare time, Rachel enjoyed traveling, reading and handcrafts, but her greatest joy was spending time with her entire family. She was predeceased by a brother Francis Silva. She is survived by her three sons Donald, Manuel and Phillip all of Lebanon; a daughter Marie Harding and her husband Paul of White River Jct., VT; a brother Robert Silva and his wife Barbara of Concord, NH; a sister Madelyn Shupenko of Claremont; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews Family and friends may call at the Ricker Funeral Home in Lebanon on Sunday, October 14, 2012 from 1-3PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 15, 2012 at Sacred Heart Church in Lebanon at 10 AM with burial following in the Valley Cemetery in Lebanon. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Sacred Heart Church Memorial Fund, PO Box 482, Lebanon, NH 03766; the Upper Valley senior Center, PO Box 433, Lebanon, NH 03766 or the Norris Cotton Cancer Center, 1 Medical Center Dr. Lebanon, NH 03756.
