    • marriage - Plattsburgh Sentinel - 4 Jan 1927
A pretty wedding took place at St. Peter's Rectory of Platstburgh [sic] at 8 o'clock a. m., on Monday, Dec. 27th when Miss Beatrice Facteau, daughter of Elmer Facteau of the Tom Miller Road, became the bride of Irvin Duquette of Rand Hill.
The ceremony was performed by Rev. Father Viaud.
They were attended by Miss Gertrude Facteau, an aunt of the bride, who acted as bridesmaid, and Emmett Duquette, brother of the groom, who acted as best man.
The bride was becomingly attired in a dress of pink embossed silk trimmed with silver, also a hat to match.
The bridesmaid was dressed in red silk Canton crepe with hat to match.
The groom wore a dark blue suit; also did his brother.
      After the ceremony the bridal
party repaired to the home of the bride's parents where a sumptuous breakfast was served to only the immediate relatives of the bride and groom. The dining room decorations were ping [sic, probably should be pink] and white.
In the evening dinner was served at the home of the groom's parents on Rand Hill, after which music and singing was enjoyed in the early part of the evening when the party returned to Plattsburgh where they intend making their future home.
