Rita F. Fecteau, 94 of West Yarmouth, formerly of Worcester, died peacefully at home on Thursday, June 18, 2015. She was predeceased in 2004 by her husband of 65 years, Arthur F. Fecteau. Rita was born in Worcester, the daughter of Eugene and Apauline (Lavallee) Jubinville. She was a graduate of Holy Name of Jesus School in Worcester. As soon as she was able, she joined the workforce to assist her parents during the Depression.
She leaves three children, Richard A. Fecteau and his wife Linda, Hon. Francis R. Fecteau and his wife Margaret, and Jean M. Brown. She also leaves five grandchildren, Mark, Suzanne, Mary, Matthew and Daniel Fecteau as well as two great grandchildren. Rita was predeceased by a grandson, Todd Fecteau, and her four siblings, Yvonne Valois Sullivan, Rose Lajoie Raiche, Cecile Lajoie and Armand Jubinville.
Her family and her faith were the center of her life. After making many happy memories with their children and grandchildren at their vacation home in West Yarmouth, they finally retired here in 1985.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m, on Monday, June 22, 2015, at the Morris, O'Connor and Blute Funeral Home, 58 Long Pond Drive, South Yarmouth, followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Pius X Church, Station Ave., South Yarmouth. An internment service will take place at Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2015.
