  	Bertha died on March 31, 1994, in Providence, RI.  She was struck and killed by a drunk driver while walking across the street in Cranston, RI (a suburb of Providence) after having breakfast with her sister Beatrice Byron Finan.  Beatrice was killed instantly while Bertha was taken to Providence hospital and placed on life support. She had no children.
