VIOLET O. FECTEAU, 76, of 6 Drawbridge Lane, South Attleboro, died yesterday at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of the late Edward C. Fecteau.
Born in Fairfield, Maine, a daughter of the late Archelas and Jeanne (Gauvin) Maheu, she lived in South Attleboro for 11 years, previously living in Central Falls. Mrs. Fecteau was a communicant of St. Theresa Church.
She leaves a son, Conrad G. Fecteau of West Warwick; a daughter, Rachel U. Brassard of South Attleboro; three brothers, Napoleon Maheu, Donald Maheu and Robert Maheu, all of Winslow, Maine; a sister, Pearl Ahearn of Bridgewater, Mass.; two stepsisters, Florence Pooler and Rose Roy, and a stepbrother, Lucien Boutin, all of Waterville, Maine; and three grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Adlophe and George Maheu.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. from the Darlington Mortuary of L. Heroux & Son, 1042 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 in St. Theresa Church, Baltic Street. Burial will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
