  Notes	His name is given as Nazaire Gagnon in his marriage record to Adele Fecteau in 1880. According to the 1880 census, Nazair Gaugnon, age 23, and his wife Adelia, age 21, were living in Detroit in the home of Adelia's parents - Michael and Catherine Fecteau (Victou is the mis-spelling in the 1880 census). It would appear that they just got married because no children were named. According to the 1900 census, Nazareth Gonyeau, age 46, and his wife Emma, age 42, were living at 711 Franklin Street in the 11th ward of Detroit. They had been married for 23 years; six of their seven children were still living (born in Michigan); listed were:Viola 11, Myrtle 8, Margarette 5, Fern 4, Pearl 2 and Verbia less than 1 year. Also listed was a niece Madaline B Gonyeau, age 21. Living in the same house and listed immediately ahead of his family was the family of (his brother?) Jeremiah, age 44, and his wife Julia A, age 25 -- they had been married for 3 years. Perhaps Madaline was a child of Jeremiah by a first marriage. According to the 1910 census, Nazareth Gonyeau, age 52, and his wife Emma C, age 52, were living in the home they owned at 18 Bruce St in the 17th ward of Detroit. They had been married 29 years; all six of their children were still living (born in QC!); five were listed: Myrtle G 18, Maryanette 16, Fern 14, Danny Pearl 12, and Verby 10. Also living in the same household was Catherine Fecteau, mother-in-law, age 84; Louis Fecteau, brother-in-law, age 47, and Lizzie Fecteau, sister-in-law age 49, According to the 1920 census, Nazareth Gonyeau, age 61, and his wife Emma, age 61, were living in the home they owned (mortgaged) at 17 Bruce Street in the 18th ward of Detroit. Also listed were: daughter Margaret 25 (who is Married), daughter Virginia 21, and son-in-law Edward Methner, age 39, along with grand-daughter Marion 3 yrs 1 month. The previous listing at 19 Bruce street, was for Lewis Fecteau and his sister Elizabeth -- siblings of Emma.
