Our beloved warrior princess, Virginia “Gini” (Fecteau) Drouillard, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by the love of her family on Saturday, February 3, in Zephyrhills, Florida, after a courageous battle with cancer. Known for her fun-loving nature and caring disposition, Gini lived a life full of adventure, imagination, and love. As an accomplished artist she was always creating something beautiful and was often found collecting rocks and seashells and spending time with family and friends.
Gini was born in August 1938, in Sheboygan, WI to Elmer and Agnes Fecteau. In early life, she graduated from Washington Highschool, then worked for Hamilton Manufacturing and Mirro Aluminum in Two Rivers, WI. She later became a chemical dependency counselor, dedicating her career to helping countless individuals and families on their journey to recovery. Throughout her life, Gini lived in Pennsylvania, Iowa, and Louisiana, finally settling in Cornucopia, WI, making lifelong friends wherever she went.
Gini loved to travel. At retirement, she found her way to Zephyrhills, Florida where she met her husband, Gordon Drouillard. Gini and Gordon lived the snowbird lifestyle, spending their winters in Florida and their summers along the shores of Lake Superior with their beloved dogs along for the ride.
She will be sadly missed by those who survive her. Gini is survived by her husband Gordon, her children; Lisa Eid, Suzie (Cynthia) Klein, Sheryl Klein (Tyler), Robert (Kerry) Klein, Lori Klein, Art (Kristina) Jensen, Debbie (Dan) Peters and Gordon’s daughter Diane (Chris) Ignazio. Gini was compassionately received by Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers and beautifully laid to rest on February 16th, at Knollwood Mausoleum in Manitowoc, WI.
Her children would like to invite family and friends to join them for a ‘Celebration of Life’ to be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 11:30am-2:30pm at Port Sandy Bay, 6421 County Rd O #2, Two Rivers, WI 54241. With a visit to Knollwood Mausoleum following.
