Beloved husband for 66 years of Audrey (Nee Bierman) Baker. Loving father of Ken (Karen), John (Patrice), Ann Marie (Michael) Carstens, David (Christy), and of the late Donald Baker, father-in-law of Carol Baker. Proud grandpa of Adam (Graiela Madrid) Baker, Justin (Lauren) Baker, Nicole (Jeff) Hesse, Caitlin (Tommy) Richardson, Jacquelyn, Andrew, Daniel, Mia and Annalise Baker, great-grandfather of Dylan and Audrey. Dear brother of William "Bill" (Delores) Baker and Zoe (the late Chester) Meyer, brother-in-law of Esther (the late Iggie) Ziolkowski, Ronnie (Carol) Bierman, and Ila Mae (the late Robert) Baker. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and good friends. Victor had been employed at the Continental Can Company until its closure and eventually retired as a lithographer from Mary Linsmeir Schools. He loved researching do-it-yourself projects, was always up for working on any type of project and ready to lend a helping hand. His selfless dedication to family and friends, along with hard work ethic defined his character. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 2, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, 7152 N. 41st Street, Milwaukee, followed by the celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Entombment and Military Honors will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorials in Victor's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
