  Notes	In the search of the electronic index of the 1881 census in Canada, for anyone born in 1864 +/- 2 years with the surname of Gauvin, one name appeared with the name of Demetrius. So I have assuemed that that is the correct family. According to the 1881 census, Debetrius was 16 years old and living with his parents in S. Pacome, Kamouraska, QC. According to the 1930 census, Demetrius Gauvin, age 65, and his wife Mary Louise, age 54, were living in the home they owned ($2000) at 26 Pike Street in Biddeford. «there seems to be a discrepency in the information because Demetrius was first married at age 26, but Mary Louise was first married age age 23 -- and there is 9 years difference in the given ages!! Perhaps the age 54 for M. Louise is really 59?» Seven children are listed: Emelia 28, Evelyn 20, Alice 18, Calixte 17, Sylvio 14, Yvonne 13, and Roland 11. All were born in QC. They all immigrated in 1919. Demitrius is listed as "retired."
