  Notes	obituary notice - Press Republican (Plattsburgh, NY) - 20 Apr 1975 PLATTSBURGH — Dennis R. Champagne, 55, of Point au Roche was dead on arrival at the CVPH Medical Center Monday afternoon. He had been taken ill at his home. He was born in Plattsburgh Dec. 2, 1919, the son of John and Rose (Facteau) Champagne. He has made his home in Plattsburgh all of his life, and was a correction officer at the Dannemora prison for over 20 years. He was a veteran of World War II. - He is survived by his wife, the former Moina Dewey; one daughter, Mrs. John (Donna) Rahn of Fort Hood, Texas; two grandchildren; and two brothers, Leo Champagne of Piattsburgh and Francis Champagne of West Palm Beach, Fla. Friends may call at the Brown Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. The funeral Mass is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Victory Church. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery.

Dewey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Dewey of 259 Margaret St., this city, was united in marriage to Mr. Dennis Robert Champagne, son of Mrs. Rose Champagne, of 80 Elizabeth street and the late Mr. John Champagne of this city. Rev. J. A. Bachand, pastor of Our Lady of Victory church, performed the ceremony. The bride wore golden beige crepe with black accessories and carried bouquet of yellow roses and baby's breath. Mrs. Leo Champagne, sister-in- law of the groom, was matron of honor. She wore huckleberry crepe with navy accessories and carried bouquet of deep pink roses. Mr. Leo Champagne, brother of the groom, was best man. Mrs. Champagne is a graduate of St. John's High school, class of 1938. Mr. Champagne graduated from Plattsburgh High school the same year and has since been employed by Levy Brothers.. After a brief honeymoon trip south the newlyweds will reside at 80 Elizabeth street. Both have a host of friends who join in extending congratulations and wishes for much happiness.
