  Notes	obituary - The Register Citizen (Torrington, CT) - 8 May 2009 TORRINGTON - Doris L. (Fecteau) Casavant, 92, of Torrington, died Thursday, May 7, 2009, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. She was the wife of the late Gedeon Casavant, who predeceased her on Dec. 19, 1999. Born March 28, 1917, in Springfield, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Nora (McCarthy) Fecteau. She was employed by the Brunswick Corp. until her retirement in 1979. She is survived by three sons, Robert Casavant and daughter-in-law Joan of Centerbrook, Ronald Casavant and daughter-in-law Donna of Torrington, Roy Casavant of Torrington, one daughter, Doreen Roy and son-in-law Wilfrid; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond Fecteau and Roger Fecteau. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 9, at 10:30 a.m. from The LaPorta-Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, to St. Francis Church, 160 Main St., Torrington, for a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Francis New Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 8, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The LaPorta-Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
