Harold E. Brown, 69, of the Bradford Road, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 1990, at the CVPH Medical Center.
He was born in Plattsburgh Sept. 1, 1920, the son of Ernest and Josephine (Ducatte) Brown.
Mr. Brown was a veteran of World War II, serving in the the European Theatre. He was a bartender at Arnie's for 25 years, retiring in 1974 due 4 to poor health. He was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons .and of St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville.
Survivors include his wife, the former Ruth M. Rock; three sons, Robert A. of Morrisonville, Lawrence T, of Raleigh, N.C., and Stephen H. of Dannemora; four daughters, Mrs. Clifton (Deanna) Bell of Plattsburgh, Mrs. Gerald (Sally) Gonyea of Morrisonville, Mrs. Roy (Carolyn) Ostermann of Delavan, Wise., and Mrs. Ronald (Bonnie) Miller of Beekmantown; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Doriald of Arcadia, Fla., and Clifford of Ticonderoga; seven sisters, Mrs. Lillian Golden of Saranac Lake and Punta Gorda, Fla., Mrs. Leo JGladys) Champagne of Plattjsburgh ancTTunta Gorda, Fla., Mrs. Bernard (Theresa) Bola of Saranac Lake. Mrs. Laura Norton of Mineville, Mrs. Earl (Ramona) Macey of Beekmantown, Mrs. Stanley (Loretta) Geursky of Witherbee and Sister Ann Mildred of Fall River, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be today 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. at St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville. Burial will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
